Plus, a multi-OS Convergence Center client brings powerful software directly to a user's desktop. This innovative product line works together to deliver next-generation dial-tone, presence, messaging, conferencing, and customer contact center capabilities.
The 3Com Convergence Center client is independent of the operating system so it unifies communications services right on a user's PC or laptop. And that's only the first of a list of benefits that can increase productivity and strengthen customer interactions.
The 3Com Convergence Applications Suite can reduce communications and management costs while enhancing worker productivity and customer services.
Customers can add components incrementally to their 3Com systems to suit business objectives. A 3Com NBX® system user, for instance, can take advantage of the applications suite for IP conferencing and IP messaging. And a 3Com VCXT customer might deploy the presence management, IP messaging, IP conferencing, and IP contact center modules of the Convergence Applications Suite.
With the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)-based VCX system, the call controller integrates a users' state with the presence server to enable message management within the Convergence Center client. Users can initiate calls by clicking or create a conference call by simply dragging attendee names across the client. The system also supports desktop video conferencing and document sharing services.
