I have four people in my company. How many do I need to get certified? |

There is no limit to the amount of people that can certify, however there are minimum certification requirements for the regional Focus Partner Programs and for 3Com Product Authorization. Refer to the regional Focus Partner Web pages for further information.

I completed my online registration for the 3Com University program, yet I have not received my temporary password to access the system. |

The "welcome" e-mail with your temporary password is sent via an automated e-mail system. In some cases, company firewalls prohibit these e-mails from being received. Please e-mail customerservice@certification.net. We will be happy to verify your registration and provide you with the information you need.

Is it necessary to take the courses and tests for the recommended curriculum in a specific order? |

Certain certification programs require that you complete courses and/or tests in a specific order. Refer to the individual program curricula for detailed requirements.

What courses and/or tests are required to achieve a 3Com Certification? |

The 3Com Certification Programs do not require that you take or pass any courses and/or practice exams prior to taking the final exam. The final exam is the only requirement to achieve a certification level. However, please keep in mind that the final exam will cover ALL recommended curriculum content. Please refer to the certification program web pages to review the most current curricula recommendation and requirements.

What type of delivery options do you offer for your courseware? |

Courses are offered in multiple formats including, downloadable, Web-based, virtual and instructor-led.

What is the average time it takes to complete a course? |
| A. |
Courses are self-paced generally take between 1-3 hours to complete. Instructor-led classes range between 2 to 10 days in length. Refer to the individual course description for details.

How long is my 3Com Certification valid? |

Certifications are valid for two years from the day you pass the final exam (beginning Dec 2005).

What are the requirements to maintain certification status? |

To retain 3Com Certification status, a participant must pass the current final exam prior to their individual certification expiration date. Certification expiration date is two years from the date you passed the final exam.

I've taken a Practice Exam, but it's not reflected in my transcript. What should I do? |

Please e-mail us at 3Com_Certification@3com.com. Be prepared to let us know the test name, test number, the date you took the test, and a description of any error messages displayed after you clicked on “Submit”.

I don't feel that my test/exam was graded correctly. What do I do? |

You should e-mail 3Com_Certification@3com.com and provide us with the name and number of the test you took, the date you took the test, and a detailed explanation of the issue.

Is there some sort of practice test I can take? |
| A. |
Yes. We do offer practice exams. The practice exam serves as a means to evaluate the users knowledge of a given subject. These practice exams also assist in determining your personal level of knowledge and the need for further education prior to proceeding to the final exams.

Can I stop taking a final exam halfway through, and then finish it later? |
| A. |
No. Once you have started a test, you must complete it and submit it for grading.
