3Com University Guidelines

Enrollment
Registration is required to participate in the 3Com University program.

 Registration

  • Enter a valid Internet email address and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Participants may only create one user account profile. 3Com reserves the right to delete multiple profile accounts for the same user.
  • User account profiles must contain valid demographic information including but not limited to: name, address, and phone number.
  • Invalid and/or incomplete account profiles may be deleted from the system without notification. This deletion includes but is not limited to all testing and certification history.
Active Status
3Com requires that you maintain an "Active" testing account. Accounts, which have remained "Inactive" for more than six months may be deleted. To maintain an "Active" status, you must:
  • Complete and submit at least one online assessment test every six months, or
  • Achieve a 3Com Certification every twenty-four months.
Note: 3Com will make a reasonable effort to give notice regarding program inactivity.

Certification Retention
3Com Certification is valid for two years from the date you pass a final exam. To retain your certification, you must pass the most current certification exam prior to your certification's expiration date. 3Com will notify you of the requirements for renewal prior to this date.

 3Com reserves the right to change or discontinue certification program rules, terms and conditions, and benefits without any notice. In its sole discretion, 3Com may refuse to grant Certification awards to and may withdraw Certification eligibility from any participant found to be in violation of these rules. Any and all tax liabilities resulting from participation in the 3Com Certification Program are the sole responsibility of the participant.
