I completed my online registration for the 3Com University program, yet I have not received my temporary password to access the system. |
| A. |
The "welcome" e-mail with your temporary password is sent via an automated e-mail system. In some cases, company firewalls prohibit these e-mails from being received. Please e-mail customerservice@certification.net. We will be happy to verify your registration and provide you with the information you need.

Is it necessary to take the courses and tests for the recommended curriculum in a specific order? |

Certain levels require that you complete courses and/or tests in a specific order. Refer to the individual program curricula for detailed requirements.

Courses are offered in multiple formats including, downloadable, Web-based and instructor-led.

How much does it cost to become 3Com Certified? |

All certifications vary in price. Refer to the individual certification Web pages for further information.

What are the requirements to maintain certification status? |
| A. |
To retain 3Com Certification status, a participant must pass the current final exam prior to their individual certification expiration date. 3Com will notify you of the necessary renewal requirements prior to the expiration date of your certification.

What is the length of the certification courses? |

Although Web-based courses are self-paced, they generally take between 1-3 hours.

How long is the 3Com Certification valid? |

Certification will be valid for one year from the date you pass the Final Exam. |

I have recently changed my email address. Where do I update my email address on my testing registration profile? |

Click on "personal information" located under the My Profile heading in the learning center.

I have recently taken a certification course and would like to take the corresponding assessment test. Which test do I take? |
| A. |
Assessment tests are identified on the Associate or Expert curriculum Web page for each region. To find a test:
- Click on either the "3Com Certified Solutions Associate" link or "3Com Certified Solutions Expert" link located at the upper left of this page.

The Expert level requires a 3Com Test Ticket to access the final exam. How do I get a 3Com Test Ticket? |
| A. |
Once you have completed all pre-requisites within the Expert level, an email notification will be sent to you containing a 3Com Test Ticket. Test Ticket emails are sent within 48 hours of validation of prerequisite completion. If you have not yet received a 3Com Test Ticket, please send an email to 3Com_certification@3com.com.

I've taken a Web assessment test, but it's not reflected in my transcript. What should I do? |
| A. |
Please e-mail us at 3Com_Certification@3com.com. Be prepared to let us know the test name, test number, the date you took the test, and a description of any error messages displayed after you clicked on "Submit".

I don't feel that my Web test was graded correctly. What do I do? |
| A. |
You should e-mail 3Com_Certification@3com.com and provide us with the name and number of the test you took, the date you took the test, and a detailed explanation of the issue.

Is there some sort of practice test I can take? |
| A. |
We do not offer practice tests. We do offer Web-based assessment tests which serve as a means to evaluate the users knowledge of a given course. These assessment tests also assist in determining your personal level of knowledge and the need for further education prior to proceeding to the final exams.

Can I stop taking a test halfway through, and then finish it later? |
| A. |
No. Once you have started a test, you must complete it and submit it for grading. You may make up to 3 submittals.
