3Com 11 Mbps Wireless LAN Access Point 8000 firmware ver. 2.12 - The file ap8k2_12.exe is a self-extracting file that contains the latest AP8000 operational and Configuration Management System firmware. Additionally, there is a readme (readme2_12.txt) that provides a brief description of the issues resolved including communication improvements with some IEEE 802.11A/B/G client devices.
NOTE: When upgrading an AP8000 with this version of the firmware it will be necessary to reset the AP back to factory default values and then set all configuration parameters to their proper values. Failure to reset the AP to factory defaults after upgrading to this new firmware can result in non valid entries in the AP configuration and unpredictable behavior.
