V2.04 Drivers and Firmware for 3CRWE62092A to support Active Scan mode. This download contains driver and firmware upgrade files for the 3CRWE62092A Wireless PC Card in Microsoft Windows 98SE, Me, 2000, and XP. Please note that you must upgrade the driver before upgrading the firmware. Once the driver and firmware have been upgraded, the 3CRWE62092A card will support Active Scanning.
When set to Active Scan mode the 3CRWE62092A card will be able to associate to Access Points that have Broadcast ESSID disabled. For detailed instructions on performing the upgrade and configuring the card for Active Scanning please view the Readme file included with the download.

CD v2.03a for the 3CRWE62092A and 3CRWE62092A-E1, 11 Mbps Wireless PC Card. This is a self-extracting file that will extract the contents of the CD to a location on your hard drive (default c:\3com). The firmware upgrade contained on this CD enables 128bit shared-key encryption. The firmware upgrade also resolves a compatibility issue with the 3Com Access Point 6000. Read and printout the readme.txt file for upgrade and installation information. WARNING: THIS INSTALLATION CD CONTAINS A FIRMWARE UPGRADE THAT IS FOR THE PC CARD ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE USED, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, ON THE 3COM 11MBPS WIRELESS LAN ACCESS POINT 6000 (3CRWE60092A). UPGRADING THE ACCESS POINT WITH THIS FIRMWARE WILL RENDER IT INOPERABLE AND MAY VOID YOUR WARRANTY. If you have previously installed the hardware and software for this product you will need to uninstall the existing WLAN Lancher, update the driver through the Device Manager, reinstall the WLAN Launcher from this CD, and then upgrade the firmware.
