End of Life - 3ComŪ SuperStackŪ 3 Firewall Product Number: 3CR16110-97 On October 15, 2001 the 3Com SuperStack 3 Firewall 3CR16110-95 replaced the 3Com SuperStack 3 Firewall 3CR16110-97. The SuperStack 3 Firewall units 3CR16110-97 and 3CR16110-95 are functionally equal in all but how VPN-related software encryption is distributed. The new 3CR16110-95 model was introduced to replace the 3CR16110-97 model solely to facilitate 3Com compliance with encryption export regulations. The model differences do not impact operation of the firewall units. SuperStack 3 Firewall firmware versions are, and will continue to be, operational on both the 3CR16110-97 and 3CR16110-95 units. For instance, the Version 2.0 agent firmware will work with either firewall model. Owners of units designated 3CR16110-97 should refer to the 3Com website support pages for the 3CR16110-95 model to determine when new firmware updates are available.
