Q: Why has 3Com decided to discontinue its Audrey product line?
A: While we continue to believe in the potential of Audrey, there are indications the market will take longer to develop than originally planned and require additional investment.

Q: What other specific products and services are being discontinued?
A: Specifically, our Internet Appliance product lines which include Audrey and Kerbango.

Q: How long is the warranty period for Audrey and what will happen to warranties and support plans for discontinued consumer products?
A: Audrey carries a one-year limited warranty. All consumer product warranties and support will remain in effect for the duration of the warranty.

Q: What will happen with the Audrey unit I have? Will it still be fully functional once operations cease at the end of May?
A: Although most of the Audrey™ features will continue to work (Email, Calendar, Address Book, Web Browsing), as of April 18, 2001, the Internet Channels (i.e., AccuWeather, CBSMarketwatch, etc.) as well as the ability to auto-update system software and applications will no longer function or be supported.

Q: I bought my unit directly from 3Com. Since the product is being Discontinued and some features will no longer function or be supported, I no longer want it. Can I return it to 3Com and receive a full refund?
A: Customers who purchased Audrey household digital assistants or Audrey accessories from the 3Com Buy Direct web site and wish to return their units may do so by calling 1-877-949-3266. Through June 1, 2001, 3Com will be offering a full refund regardless of date of purchase. Customers who decide to keep and continue to use the product will be able to receive customer support for the duration of their warranty (except for the two discontinued functions mentioned above).

Q: I bought Audrey from (Amazon.com, Best Buy, etc.). Since it is being Discontinued and some features will no longer function or be supported, I no longer want it. Will these retailers and etailers provide me with a full refund?
A: Customers who purchased an Audrey household digital assistant or Audrey accessory from a retail store or website other than the 3Com Buy Direct web site need to contact the reseller from whom they purchased it regarding a refund. Customers who decide to keep and continue to use the product will be able to receive customer support for the duration of their warranty (except for the two discontinued functions mentioned above).

Q: If I keep my Audrey and something goes wrong with it, will 3Com still offer customer support and maintenance to my unit?
A: 3Com will honor all warranties until the end of the warranty period.

Q: Who do I contact for warranty and support on consumer products 3Com is no longer manufacturing?
A: There is no change to the support contact numbers provided in your documentation. Your consumer products continue to be covered by the warranty, which accompanied those products.
