How do I connect my Cable/DSL line to this device?
A:
The 3Com OfficeConnect Wireless Cable/DSL Gateway does not have an internal Cable or DSL modem and will therefore not connect directly to your Cable or DSL line. It is designed to connect to the Ethernet output from your Cable or DSL modem. An Ethernet cable is supplied with the product for this purpose.

Yes, the OfficeConnect Wireless Cable/DSL Gateway allows wireless and wired users to share the Internet connection. It also allows communication between the wired and wireless network.

The Gateway can support up to 32 wireless users and up to a total of 253 wired and wireless users.

The Wireless Ethernet Compatibility Alliance (WECA) is a trade association formed to certify the interoperability of wireless products based on the 802.11b specification. The use of the Wi-Fi logo means that the product has passed Wi-Fi testing to ensure interoperability. The OfficeConnect Wireless Cable/DSL Gateway is Wi-Fi certified.
