Q:
Using the USB and Ethernet connections simultaneously
A:
You should not have the USB cable and the Ethernet cable plugged into the cable modem at the same time as it might prevent you from accessing the Internet.
If you are using USB and Ethernet simultaneously remove one of the interfaces and power cycle the cable modem by removing the power adapter from its outlet and then plugging it back into the outlet.

Q:
The Data Rate LED never stops blinking
A:
The signal from your cable company's equipment may be too weak or the cable line may not be properly attached to the modem. If the cable line is properly connected to the modem, call your cable company to verify whether or not a weak signal may be the problem.

Q:
I cannot access my e-mail or Internet service
A:
If you are unable to access email or the Internet check all connections and then power cycle the cable modem. If you are still unable to connect try powering off the computer. If you are using a cable line splitter remove it and restart the computer. Confirm that your cable provider supports two-way service.
