Product FAQs

Q: Why is the Power LED not lit?
A: Check your power adapter connection. If there is still no power, you may have a faulty power adapter. The power adapter should only be replaced with another OfficeConnect power adapter. Do not use any other power adapter with the hub.
Q: Why is the Alert LED continuously illuminated?
A: There is either continual excessive use of your network or, more likely, a port has partitioned due to a loop in the network. If one of the Port Status LEDs is flashing, that port has partitioned. Examine your connections and remove the loop. Each piece of equipment needs only one connection to your OfficeConnect hub.
Q: Why is the link between two OfficeConnect hubs not working?
A: Check the hub connections. It is likely that an Uplink/Normal switch is set incorrectly.
Q: Why is the Port Status LED yellow?
A: It is likely that there is a loop in the network which has caused this port to partition. Examine the connections and remove the loop. Each piece of equipment needs only one connection to the OfficeConnect hub.
Q: How do I power up a Baseline hub?
A: Check the network connections and cables. Connect the power supply cable to the appropriate power socket on the rear panel of the unit. Connect the plug to the power supply outlet socket. If you are using a 3Com Redundant Power System ensure that it is switched on. When the Baseline Hub is powered on, the Power LED should be illuminated.
