The 3Com® MSR 50 Series Multi-Service Router, engineered by H3C delivers high-performance, secure, integrated services on a single platform.
The MSR 50 Series features a modular design and can accomodate embedded hardware-based encryption and voice processing. Flexible deployment configurations, including support for multiple Open Services Networking-enabled modules (OSM), are powered by up to 1 GB memory and 600 kpps forwarding performance.
With a full-featured, resilient routing platform, including IPv6 and MPLS support, as well as comprehensive integrated security services, the MSR 50 Series enhances network functionality and simplifies management and complexity for enterprise branch and regional offices and medium-sized organizations.
Coupled with 3Com Open Services Networking (OSN), the MSR 50 Series has the potential to deliver the functionality of multiple devices, creating capital and operational expense savings and lasting investment protection.
MSR 50-60
The 3Com MSR 50-60 Chassis is a high-performance 4U-high rackmount platform. It offers six Flexible Interface Card (FIC) slots, a slot for the Processor Module (which itself has four Smart Interface Card, or "SIC", slots), and a slot for the Multi-Service Module (which provides embedded voice processing hardware-based encryption module slots).
MSR 50-40
The MSR 50-40 Chassis is a high-performance 3U-high rackmount platform. It offers four FIC slots, a slot for the Processor Module (which itself has four Smart Interface Card, or "SIC", slots), and a slot for the Multi-Service Module (which provides embedded voice processing hardware-based encryption module slots).
MSR 50 Processor Module
The MSR 50 Processor Module provides full routing functionality for the MSR 50 Series. The module includes four SIC slots, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, two SFP and two USB ports, and a CompactFlash slot; it is required for operation of the router.
MSR 50 Multi-Service Module
The MSR 50 Multi-Service Module is an optional module which hosts service-enabling processor engines such as two enhanced service modules that deliver encryption functionality, as well as up to four voice processor modules and a voice co-processing module.
