Policy Driven Network Access Control
3Com® Network Access Manager leverages the advanced desktop security capabilities of 3Com switches and wireless access points to control both user and computer access to the network.

Simplifies Network Access Administration
Network Access Manager simplifies the job of securing the network perimeter by allowing the administrator to easily control network access directly from the "Users and Computers" console in Microsoft Active Directory.

For example, this Flash demo shows how, with a single click, a user (or even an entire department) can be moved to a different VLAN, or a computer can be blocked from connecting to the network.

A trial version of 3Com Network Access Manager is available; download the software for a 60-day evaluation period.

  • Flexible rules-driven design allows the administrator to assign specific access privileges to individual users or computers, or to entire Active Directory Groups.

  • Network access rules not only decide if a user or computer is permitted to connect to the network, but also which VLAN they are to be connected to, and what QoS parameters should be assigned to the connection.

  • 3Com Network Access Manager's "one-click" interface design means that even non-technical operators can modify the network access privileges of a user or computer by just selecting from a list in Active Directory; this allows the administrator to delegate much of the routine adds, moves and changes to more junior personnel.

  • No need to manage a new software application— 3Com Network Access Manager is a plug-in which installs seamlessly into Active Directory and IAS; protect and leverage existing investment and avoid expensive staff training on a new management system.
