Features & Benefits

Quickly Create Cost-Effective Wireless Workgroups
With our wireless workgroup bridge, you can connect wired Ethernet-enabled devices to the wireless network, regardless of the operating system. No need to worry about configuration.

You can also set up workgroups by connecting up to four Ethernet-enabled devices that have no available PCI slots-PCs, printers, scanners, phones, and more-using one bridge.

And when you connect the bridge to a hub, such as our 3Com® OfficeConnect® Dual Speed Hub 5, you get quick connections for client devices at a fraction of the cost of standard Wi-Fi-certified adapters.

  • Use with 3Com NBX® communication systems to quickly and efficiently deploy fully managed voice and data networks

  • Use with a hub to connect up to four users per bridge for very affordable wireless connections

  • Wi-Fi certification ensures broad compatibility

  • Simple setup, with no configuration required in most cases

  • Remotely manage this bridge using a standard web browser or SNMP management tools

  • Auto Network Connect keeps roaming users connected with a choice of ad hoc or infrastructure mode

  • Dynamic Security Link (works only in conjunction with the 3Com 11 Mbps Wireless LAN Access Point 6000 and Access Point 8000) and 40-bit WEP and 128-bit encryption keep your data safe

  • Connects to an external antenna when used with a 3Com® Workgroup Bridge SMA Cable Adapter (3CWE486) and 3Com® 6-Foot Antenna Cable (3CWE480)
