Thank you for your service order. In order to activate your 3Com service contract or schedule installation, it is necessary that you list the equipment to be covered for each end user site. Please complete and submit the following online contract activation request. Full instructions are provided.

For a single site order, it will take approximately five minutes to complete your contract activation request.

Please gather the following materials before beginning the contract activation request process:

  • Reseller contact information
  • Reseller P.O. number provided to the distributor
  • Name of the distributor from which service was purchased
  • End user contact information
  • Equipment list for each end user site
Note: Prior to selling a Guardian or 4 hour maintenance contract, service availability must be confirmed via the Global Service Locator

Important Note: 3Com requires that each unit of the same product located at a customer's site be covered by the same level of service. Modular products must include the chassis and all associated modules. Where service pricing is calculated by chassis, please list all associated modules on the service quote/order (modules will carry a zero service charge). Items not included in the order will not be entitled for service. Orders received that do not meet these requirements will not be accepted and will not be entitled for service.

After you have completed the activation request, your order will be processed and the end customer will be sent an electronic Welcome Letter by 3Com's Customer Service Organization. This Welcome Letter will include instructions on contacting 3Com for service, and will provide them with their service contract number. You will be copied on this Welcome Letter.
