WEEE and RoHS Initiatives
Waste Electrical & Electronic (WEEE) Directive (2002/96/EC)
As of 13th August 2005 all products that 3Com supply meet the labelling requirements of the WEEE Directive. We continue to work with our partners as the WEEE directive is implemented across all European Union Member States, as and when they transpose the directive into national law.

Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive (2002/95/EC)
3Com Corporation declares that as of 1st July 2006 all products that are placed on the market within the member states of the European Union & within the member states of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) comply with the requirements of the Directive 2002/95/EEC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27th January 2003 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products (known as the RoHS Directive).
  • Unless specifically noted, 3Com will utilise the lead-in-solder exemption for network infrastructure equipment as permitted by item 7 of the Annex to the RoHS Directive (2002/95/EC).
  • RoHS compliant units can be identified by the following logo on the packaging / unit label
